NPP pledges to prioritize Agriculture and TVET colleges
The Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has reaffirmed the party's commitment to revitalizing agricultural colleges as part of a broader strategy to enhance Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
Speaking during an engagement at the Kwadaso Agricultural College in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized that agriculture remains pivotal to Ghana’s industrialization agenda.
He outlined an ambitious plan spearheaded by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP's Presidential Candidate, to make agriculture a top priority if elected in the 2024 general elections.
Dr. Bawumia’s vision, as highlighted by Dr. Opoku Prempeh, focuses on modernizing Ghana’s agricultural sector through cutting-edge technology and international best practices to boost productivity and global competitiveness.
“Under the leadership of Dr. Bawumia and by the grace of God, the NPP will continue to create an enabling environment for agricultural colleges to thrive, recognizing their critical role in equipping students with the skills needed to transform Ghana’s agricultural sector,” Dr. Opoku Prempeh noted.
He encouraged the students to support Dr. Bawumia's vision by voting massively for him in the upcoming elections.
He also urged them to retain Prof. Kingsley Nyarko as their Member of Parliament to ensure continued progress and prosperity for Kwadaso.
Prof. Kingsley Nyarko, the MP for Kwadaso, also addressed the gathering.
He lauded the contributions of agricultural colleges to Ghana’s economy and pledged to continue supporting initiatives that empower students and enhance agricultural productivity in the constituency.
