NSMQ: Speaker donates 2 laptops, GHS5,000 to PRESEC team
The Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Prof Mike Aaron Oquaye, has presented his alma mater, Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School, Legon (PRESEC), with two laptops and GHS5,000.
The token gesture is to “assist” the group of students and teachers who make up the school’s National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) team "in their preparation" and to also "motivate them".
The presentation was done on Prof Oquaye's behalf by his son Odadee Albert Oquaye of the 1994 year group.
The school received the donation from the Odadee '55 year group and expressed gratitude to the Speaker for the gesture.
"We thank our distinguished Speaker and professor of political science for his donation and appeal to other ‘Odadees’ to emulate this exemplary gesture.
"Our boys are in high spirits.
"Let’s motivate them to bring home the trophy", the school authorities said.
