President Mahama opens National Education Forum, calls for citizen participation

President John Dramani Mahama has officially launched the National Education Forum, urging broad citizen participation to help shape Ghana’s education system.
The first zonal engagement of the forum commenced today, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, in Ho, the Volta Regional capital.
This marks the beginning of a nationwide series of stakeholder consultations aimed at fostering inclusive dialogue and collaboration in the education sector.
The eight-member National Education Forum Planning Committee has developed a structured roadmap to engage stakeholders across various regions, ensuring that diverse perspectives contribute to education policy and reform.
Speaking at the launch in Ho, President Mahama reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Ghana’s education system, emphasizing that inclusive participation is key to achieving meaningful and sustainable change
