TUSAAG to strike nationwide Sept. 27
The Technical University Senior Administrators Association of Ghana (TUSAAG) is set to begin a nationwide strike on Friday, 27 September 2024.
The strike is due government's failure to meet its obligations under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
This action will result in the withdrawal of all services across technical universities in the country until their demands are addressed.
The decision to strike follows TUSAAG's increasing frustration with the government's persistent neglect in implementing revised allowances for senior public university members.
In a statement issued on Thursday, 26 September 2024, the association asserted that it has exhausted all options for further dialogue and is now demanding the full implementation of all CBA provisions.
TUSAAG expressed disappointment over government's repeated failures to honour the collective bargaining agreement, despite numerous promises.
The association highlighted the government's refusal to implement revised allowances for senior university members, as directed by the Ministry of Finance in May 2024, viewing this as a clear violation of their rights.
