Three major teacher unions—Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT)—have expressed frustration over the government's failure to address longstanding issues, including unfulfilled promises from the Collective Agreement signed on May 24, 2024.

Key concerns include unresolved promotions, salary disparities, arrears for Tier-2 deductions, and delays in delivering laptops.

The unions in a statement have set a deadline of September 16, 2024, for the government to address these issues, warning of potential industrial unrest if action is not taken.
