Wesley Girls’ High School postpones 190th anniversary Logo Unveiling to 18th July due to Accra flooding
The 190th Anniversary Planning Committee of Wesley Girls' High School has announced the postponement of its Logo Unveiling Ceremony, which was originally scheduled to take place on Friday, July 3, 2026.
The event has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 18, 2026, due to adverse weather conditions in the capital.
According to an official notice issued by the planning committee, the decision to postpone the ceremony was made in light of recent flooding across Accra and the forecast of continued heavy rainfall.
The committee stated that the safety and well-being of guests, partners, and the wider school community remain their highest priority, expressing solidarity with those affected by the floods.
The rescheduled event, organised by the Wesley Girls' High School Old Girls' Association (OGA), will now take place on Saturday, July 18 2026, at 5:00 PM, with a reception starting at the same time.
The venue remains unchanged at the Wesley Towers Auditorium in Accra.
The unveiling ceremony will be held under the theme "Honouring Our Roots, Igniting Tomorrow," marking 190 years since the school's establishment in 1836.
The organisers have indicated that any further updates regarding the event will be shared directly through official OGA communication channels.
