2023 Nat’l PR and Communications Summit: Professionals must strive for personal dev’t and growth – GRIDCo Board Chair
The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has taken part in the 2023 Institute of Public Relations National PR & Communication Summit & AGM held in Kwahu.
The summit was held from Thursday, 23 March to Saturday, 25 March 2023.
The Board Chairman of GRIDCo, Ambassador Kabral Blay-Amihere, based on his decades of expertise, featured as a panel member at the summit, on the topic ‘PR in the Board Room: C-Suites Insights/CEOs Roundtable.’
Ambassador Blay-Amihere, stressed on successful Public Relations being dependent on a successful relationship between Public Relations Practitioners and their Heads of Institutions for impact delivery.
"PR is not enough to solve strategic issues. This is why every professional must strive for personal development and growth,” he stated.
Ambassador Blay-Amihere entreated participants at the summit to get ready to take on greater responsibilities in their various organisations.
He noted that over the last two years, GRIDCo has put in measures to make PR a Management function in order to enable its practitioners take initiative.
Ambassador Blay-Amihere further noted that “for an organisation to have an effective PR paradigm, leadership should not see the PR person as a peripheral operator.”
Other members of the panel included the President of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR), Ghana, Mawuko Afadzanu and the Chief Executive of the Ghana Export Promotions Authority, Dr Afua Asabea Asare.
