A/R: Osei-Mensah tours GRIDCo K’si operational area
The Ashanti Regional Minister has assured the staff of the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) in the Kumasi operational areas of his support for the company’s operations.
The Minister gave the assurance when he toured the Kumasi operational area.
The Minister’s tour coincided with the Chief Executive of GRIDCo, Ing Ebenezer Kofi Essienyi’s engagement with the Kumasi and Techiman operational areas.
Concerns were raised regarding the Right of Way (RoW) and protection of the assets of GRIDCo.
GRIDCo therefore requested for support from the Minister to manage them.
Touching on improving security around the Kumasi Substation, the Regional Minister,l promised to provide additional police personnel in order to prevent any threats to the substation particularly in an era of sub-regional terrorism.
The GRIDCo Chief Executive on behalf of the company, thanked the Regional Minister for the visit.
He also commended the Ashanti Regional Security Council for its collaboration which has aided in the company’s critical work across the region.
