A/R: Police arrests 2 suspects, including a minor, for robbery, murder
The police, with the support of some members of the Fiankoma community, has arrested two suspects, including a juvenile, for robbing a motorbike rider and murdering him at Benebene near Fiankoma in the Ashanti Region.
Mr Eric Anning and the minor, after robbing their victim, Osei Mensah Daniel, a third-year student of Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School, of his Boxer motorbike, murdered and buried him on a cocoa farm near Benehene.
Following their arrest, the suspects led the police to the crime scene where the body of the deceased bike rider was found.
The body was exhumed and deposited at the St. Peter’s Catholic Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
Anning, who sustained a deep cut on his right hand during the robbery, was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile, the suspect and his minor accomplice will be put before court today.
The police commended the people of Fiankoma for their support and urged other communities to continue supporting the law enforcement body to ensure everyone is safe.
