Annika Hernroth-Rothstein joins IFS as Chief Political Analyst
Global analyst Annika Hernroth-Rothstein has joined Ghanaian economic policy think tank Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS).
The Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) was established by Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, former Governor of Bank of Ghana (BoG) and former Minister for Finance and Economic Planning in December 2013 with the explicit goal to conduct world-class economic policy research – and training for the benefit of the Ghanaian government, business community and civil society.
“It has always been our mission at IFS to adopt a holistic approach where research has real-world implementation and ideas are turned into workable political solutions and policies. As a result of the success we are chalking, we are now adding a political policy expert to our team,” IFS said in a statement.
Ms. Hernroth-Rothstein has a distinguished background as a political advisor on the global stage and has also done critically acclaimed work as a political reporter for, among others, The Wall Street Journal, Foreign Policy, The Washington Examiner, Fox News and The BBC.
Ms. Hernroth-Rothstein has previously been a distinguished fellow at the New York-based Tikvah think-tank and in 2020, she was named one of the world’s 100 most influential Jews by Algemeiner Magazine.
“We are happy to have Ms. Hernroth-Rothstein join the IFS staff as Chief Political Analyst and have no doubt that her rich experience and insights will enrich the work we do at the Institute,” the statement announcing the appointment noted.
