Bawumia hailed for religious diversity after visit to Pope Francis
Catholics in Ghana have commended Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is also the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for his visit to Pope Francis, hailing it as a demonstration of religious diversity and tolerance.
In responses to a post by the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference featuring Dr. Bawumia and Pope Francis, several Catholic Facebook users expressed admiration for the visit.
Fahad Mohammed Sulemana, one of the users, described it as a testament to Dr. Bawumia's diplomatic skills.

Prosper Nartey, also a Facebook user, remarked that the visit by the Vice President is a remarkable moment in Ghana's history and for Dr. Bawumia personally.
