Deputy Defence Minister commends Ghana Armed Forces at 2025 land combat power demonstration
Deputy Minister of Defence, Mr. Ernest Brogya Genfi, on Friday joined the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Agyepong, the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu, senior officers—both serving and retired—and members of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) at the Bundase Training Camp for the 2025 Land Combat Power Demonstration.
The event served as a grand display of discipline, strategy, and military excellence, highlighting the readiness and operational strength of Ghana’s Armed Forces.
Speaking at the event, Mr Brogya Genfi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to retooling and modernising the Ghana Armed Forces, in line with the vision of the Commander-in-Chief, H.E. President John Dramani Mahama.
“The Commander-in-Chief has made it clear that beginning next year, the Ghana Armed Forces will embark on a retooling and modernisation drive the likes of which has never been witnessed in our history,” the Deputy Minister declared.
He lauded the professionalism, precision, and dedication demonstrated during the exercise, noting that the Armed Forces’ performance was proof that with the right leadership, vision, and investment, Ghana’s military would continue to soar to greater heights.
Mr. Brogya Genfi also reminded personnel that discipline remains the cornerstone of the military, urging every soldier and officer to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in service to the nation.
'Discipline is the soul of the military. Every officer and soldier must protect the image and honour of our revered Armed Forces,” he emphasised.
The 2025 Land Combat Power Demonstration showcased coordinated tactical manoeuvres, modern combat techniques, and joint operational readiness, reaffirming the GAF’s commitment to defending Ghana’s sovereignty and contributing to regional peace and stability.
