Divisional chief warns public against illegal land acquisition in Dansoman
The Divisional Chief of Dansoman, Nii Kojo Danso II, has issued a public warning to prospective buyers and investors amid ongoing chieftaincy and land disputes affecting Dansoman and the Panbros Salt Industries area in Accra.
In the notice, the Chief cautioned members of the public to refrain from engaging with anyone claiming to be the chief for the purposes of selling, leasing, mortgaging, or conducting any land-related transactions within the disputed areas.
He emphasised that any land dealings undertaken during the litigation period are at the buyer’s own risk, as the disputes have yet to be fully resolved in the courts.
The notice serves as a preventive measure to protect the public from potential fraudulent land deals and underscores the importance of waiting for the legal resolution before engaging in property transactions in the affected areas.
The Chief’s statement concluded with a stern warning: “Be warned!”, urging caution and due diligence.

THE GENERAL PUBLIC IS BY THIS NOTICE INFORMED THAT DUE TO ONGOING LITIGATION IN THE COURTS REGARDING CHIEFTAINCY AND LAND DISPUTES IN AND AROUND DANSOMAN AND PANBROS SALT INDUSTRIES BOTH IN ACCRA, PROSPECTIVE PURCHASERS ARE WARNED TO DESIST FROM DEALING WITH ANY PERSON(S) PURPORTING TO BE THE CHIEF FOR THE PURPOSE OF SALE, LEASE, MORTGAGE AND/OR ANY LAND TRANSACTION WITHIN THE AFOREMENTIONED AREAS.
THE PUBLIC IS HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT UNTIL THE DISPUTES ARE FINALLY RESOLVED, ANY PERSON WHO PURCHASES AND/OR TRANSACTS ANY LAND-RELATED BUSINESS DOES SO AT HIS /HER OWN RISK.
