The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Greenfield Scientific Herbal Clinic, Dr. Bright Okoh Stephen, has issued a strong call to the youth of Ghana to refrain from drug abuse, emphasising the severe dangers it poses to their lives and well-being.

Speaking to Accra FM/CTV news reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel at Tutu Akuapem when Tutuhene and Akuapeman Atipimhene celebrated their 40th anniversary in Tutu Akuapem of the Eastern Region.

Dr. Bright Okoh Stephen, expressed concern over the increasing prevalence of substance abuse among young people.

He warned that this practice carries harmful consequences for both their physical and mental health, urging them to protect themselves by staying away from such acts.

The CEO of Greenfield Scientific Herbal Clinic Dr. Bright Okoh Stephen, also advised the youth to foster peace among themselves and resist being manipulated by others. He acknowledged the numerous challenges facing young Ghanaians and appealed to all stakeholders to unite in the fight against drug abuse to safeguard the future generation.

Dr. Bright Okoh Stephen specifically cautioned against substances that alter perception, mood, and cognitive behaviour, listing cannabis, cocaine, mephedrone, ecstasy, tramadol, "red," and "speed" as examples with serious detrimental effects on mental health.

He strongly advised young individuals against experimenting with drugs, as it often leads to addiction.

Furthermore, the CEO of Greenfield Scientific Herbal Clinic Dr. Okoh called on government and community opinion leaders to support the youth in acquiring higher education, which would equip them with valuable skills for the job market.

In conclusion, Dr. Bright Okoh encouraged all Ghanaians to join the collective effort to stop the sale and use of illicit drugs throughout the country.

He therefore urged all citizens of Tutu Akuapem, both at home and abroad to come back and help fix the developmental challenges in Tutu Akuapem, so that the youth of Tutu can get jobs to do.
