Ewurabena Aubynn to be sworn in as Ablekuma North MP today

Ewurabena Aubynn, the National Democratic Congress(NDC) parliamentary candidate who emerged victorious in the recent Ablekuma North re-run election in the Greater Accra Region, is set to be officially sworn in today as the new Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place in Parliament later this afternoon, marking the official commencement of her tenure as the representative for Ablekuma North.
Her victory flipped the seat to the NPP after disputed parliamentary polls in the December 7, 2024, general election
Aubynn won the re-run election with a significant margin, reaffirming the NDC's dominance in the constituency.
Her campaign focused on job creation, infrastructure development, and youth empowerment—issues that resonated strongly with voters.
Party faithful and supporters are expected to throng Parliament in celebration of what they describe as a "new dawn" for the constituency.
With her swearing-in, the NDC strengthens its numbers in Parliament.
Ewurabena Aubynn is expected to deliver her maiden remarks after taking the oath of office.
