Former Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley to be laid to rest on August 2

Funeral arrangements have been announced for former Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley, the distinguished Ghanaian diplomat and public servant, who passed away at the age of 71.
According to the family, there will be no wake-keeping.
A pre-burial and burial service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra, starting at 8:00 AM.
The interment will be private, but a family gathering will continue at the State House following the service.
A Thanksgiving service is scheduled for Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the Mount Olivet Methodist Church in Dansoman at 10:00 AM, after which final funeral rites will take place at St. Bernadette Soubirous School.
Mourners are advised to adhere to the dress code: Black on Saturday and All White on Sunday.
Ambassador Yalley was widely respected for his service to Ghana, both locally and internationally.
His passing marks the end of a notable chapter in Ghana’s diplomatic and political history.
