Patriotic Muslim Front, LeadGate Foundation commend Gov't on Hajj Village construction

The Patriotic Muslim Front (PMF) and the LeadGate Foundation have commended President John Dramani Mahama and the Government of Ghana for their swift action in initiating the construction of a new Hajj Village to serve as a pre-departure accommodation centre for Ghanaian pilgrims.
In a joint press statement issued on March 3, 2025, the two organizations hailed the President’s commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises to the Muslim community.
The sod-cutting ceremony for the project took place on Friday, February 28, 2025, marking a major step towards providing Ghanaian Hajj pilgrims with a modern and befitting facility for their pre-departure needs.
"This milestone demonstrates President Mahama’s unwavering commitment to his social contract with the Muslim community and the nation at large," the statement read.
The groups further expressed optimism that construction will progress steadily and be completed on schedule to ensure pilgrims benefit from the facility as soon as possible.
According to the Patriotic Muslim Front and the LeadGate Foundation, the establishment of a dedicated Hajj Village will go beyond improving pilgrim welfare—it will also foster religious tolerance and national unity.
"The construction of this facility is not only about the comfort and sanctity of pilgrims but also about strengthening religious coexistence in Ghana," the statement added.
The two organizations commended the government’s commitment to keeping its promises and urged continued efforts to implement initiatives that benefit all Ghanaians.
