Royal impasse: GJA cautions journalists on reportage
The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has cautioned journalists to be extremely careful when reporting on issues relating to the simmering tension between Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Osagyefo Agyeman Badu II, Dormaahene.
According to the GJA, it is needless to state that the hyper-sensitive issue involving the two prominent chiefs can degenerate into a conflict of unthinkable proportion.
The president of the umbrella body of journalists, Mr Affail Monney, issued this caution in a statement dated January 19, 2022.
The statement explained that the matter, if not handled with the highest degree of circumspection, especially by the media, could escalate.
