The Volta Regional Minister, Mr. James Gunu, earlier today joined the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, the President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, and the Municipal Chief Executive for Ho, Mr. Stephen Adom, to observe the ongoing military recruitment exercise at the Ho Sports Stadium.
The visit, which also included other dignitaries, was aimed at assessing the progress of the exercise, interacting with applicants, and ensuring that the recruitment process is being conducted in a fair, transparent, and orderly manner.
More than 4,000 applicants are participating in the body selection and documentation phase of the recruitment exercise.
Speaking to the media after the inspection, Mr. Gunu commended the Ghana Armed Forces for their professionalism and urged the applicants to remain calm and confident throughout the process.
He assured them that the selection exercise is being carried out transparently and on merit.
Togbe Afede XIV lauded the Armed Forces for the high level of organisation and empathy demonstrated during the exercise.
He emphasised the importance of discipline and hard work among the applicants, while assuring that more job opportunities would be created, including through the establishment of a new pilot training school.
The President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, also encouraged the applicants not to be disheartened if they are not selected, noting that other opportunities will emerge in the near future.
The visit underscored the commitment of regional authorities and traditional leaders to promoting transparency, fairness, and equal opportunity in national recruitment exercises.
