COVID-19: Adongo presents PPE to Bolga Health Dir.
The National Democratic Congress' parliamentary candidate for Bolgatanga Central constituency, Isaac Adongo, has presented a truckload of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other essential items to the Bolgatanga Municipal Health Directorate to augment the government’s efforts in the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The items to be distributed to the 42 health centres (both government and private) across the municipality include 100 medically-approved sanitised overall wears (non-disposable), 100 overall wears (disposable), boxes of medically-approved hand sanitisers of various kind, 80 Veronica buckets, two disinfectant spraying machines, a number of boxes containing examination gloves (hands gloves), liquid soap and some pieces of N95 surgical masks.
Presenting the items, The Bolga Central MP assured the Municipal Health Director of his continuous support in the health sector when the need arises.
He commended the frontline medical staff for their patriotic service in this difficult time coupled with a shortage of protective gear and resources.
The lawmaker called on the Directorate, the MCE, stakeholders, chiefs and people of Bolgatanga to cooperate and support the media campaign against COVID-19.
Receiving the items, the Municipal Health Director was full of praise for Mr Adongo.
He assured the MP that all the 42 health centres across the Municipality would be allocated the resources for their intended purpose of fighting not only COVID-19 but also any other diseases.
