Ghana’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 182, the Ghana Health Service has announced.
Also, 359 new cases have taken the national total to 35,501.
The new cases were recorded in 41 districts in 10 regions.
The remaining six regions did not record any new cases within the sampling period of 16 July and 27 July 2020.
The lab reports came through on 28 July 2020.
According to the latest figures, 32,090 patients have recovered and been discharged.
The active cases are 3,223.
So far, more than 390,000 tests have been conducted for the virus.
The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye told journalists at the Ministry of Information’s bi-weekly press conference on Thursday that the health authorities are beginning to see a downward trend of the spread.
“Whatever we are doing, particularly the adherence to the protocol – of which we are seeing some improvement – must continue, and we hope with that, we should be able to bring the numbers down”, he said.
