NPP seeks to build a resilient healthcare system that integrate both conventional and traditional medicine
The Vice-Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has acknowledged the significant contributions of herbal medicine practitioners to Ghana’s healthcare sector. Speaking during a meeting with practitioners in Kumasi, he underscored the vital role of herbal medicine in addressing the health needs of Ghanaians by offering affordable, accessible, and culturally relevant solutions.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized the NPP’s commitment to building a resilient healthcare system that integrates both conventional and traditional medicine.
He stated that under the leadership of the NPP’s Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party plans to strengthen the herbal medicine industry to create more jobs, advance local research, and improve access to quality healthcare for all.
“We deeply value the role of herbal medicine in our healthcare system.
By promoting its integration with modern medicine, we can harness its full potential to benefit Ghanaians and advance the health sector,” he said.
The Vice-Presidential Candidate also appealed to the practitioners to vote for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP in the upcoming elections, highlighting their shared vision for a thriving healthcare sector that serves the needs of all citizens.
