St. Anne’s Hospital reconnected to nat’l grid after death of 2 babies
The St Anne's Hospital in Damongo has been reconnected to the national grid following the intervention of the member of parliament for the Damongo Constituency and minister for lands and natural resources Samuel Abu Jinapor.
The minister has also paid for the reconnection of the Damongo Fire Service Station which was also disconnected some weeks ago with several appeals made for power to be restored at both institutions
The two facilities owed huge debt sums compelling the Northern Electricity Company (NEDco) to disconnect them.
The St. Anne’s Hospital was reconnected on the evening of Monday, 22nd May, 2023 to be followed by the reconnection of the offices of the Ghana National Fire Service in Damongo.
The intervention and reconnection comes after two babies according to reports in the hospital died as a result of the power outage.
