#2024Polls:NDC hints at prosecution of Returning Officers who violated rules

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a stern warning to Returning Officers in the just-ended December 7 general elections, cautioning them against any attempts to tamper with election results.
Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, the party’s Director of Elections and IT, stated that any officer found culpable of manipulating results would face prosecution.
In a social media post, Dr. Omane Boamah underscored the importance of accountability and transparency in the electoral process.
“Returning Officers must understand they’ll be prosecuted if they try to vary results,” he warned.
He also urged the public to remain vigilant, calling on them to keep “#EAGLEEYES” on the Electoral Commission (EC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to ensure fairness and integrity in the collation and declaration of results.
