Ablakwa expresses gratitude to Mahama following his nomination as Foreign Minister

Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region, Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa, has expressed deep appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for nominating him to serve as Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs.

In a statement following his nomination, Mr. Ablakwa pledged to serve with patriotism, innovation, and integrity, assuring Ghanaians of his commitment to advancing the country’s diplomatic interests.

“My solemn pledge is to diligently assist President Mahama in championing Ghana’s best interests at all times, with unquestionable patriotism, innovation, and integrity,” he stated.

He also extended his gratitude to his family, constituents in North Tongu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and Ghanaians for their unwavering support throughout his political journey.

“I won’t let you down. Let’s do it, for God and Country,” he assured.

Mr. Ablakwa’s nomination is part of President Mahama’s third batch of ministerial appointments, which have been submitted to Parliament for approval.

If confirmed, he will take over the Foreign Affairs portfolio, leading Ghana’s diplomatic engagements on the global stage.
