Amasaman MP supports Ghana Police Service with cash donations
The Member of Parliament for the Amasaman Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Sedem Kweku Afenyo, has extended a strong gesture of support to the Ghana Police Service in the Ga West Municipality through targeted cash donations aimed at strengthening local security operations.
Mr. Afenyo, accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr John Desmond Sowah Nai, presented the donations to both the Divisional Police Command and the District Police Command during a visit on October 31, 2025.
The contribution was intended to boost the operational efficiency of the Police Service in the municipality.
Specifically, the funds will support the construction of a new office for the Divisional Unit and assist in the maintenance and availability of Police patrol vehicles.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Afenyo emphasised that the initiative reflects his and the MCE’s shared commitment to improving security infrastructure and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents across the constituency.
He commended the Police Service for its continuous dedication to maintaining law and order and assured them of sustained collaboration and support to help deliver on their mandate.
Municipal authorities and Police representatives expressed their appreciation for the MP’s timely intervention, describing it as a practical step toward enhancing peace and public safety in Amasaman and its surrounding communities.
