Concerned Krobo Youth Group applauds extension of IGP Yohuno’s term
The Concerned Krobo Youth Group in the Greater Accra Region has commended the President of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, and the Police Council for extending the term of office of Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, by two years.
The group described the decision as a fitting recognition of IGP Yohuno’s exceptional leadership and dedication to the Ghana Police Service.
IGP Yohuno has served in several key positions during his career, including Divisional Commander for Accra Central, Accra Regional Operations Commander, Deputy Accra Regional Commander, and Director-General of the Motor Traffic and Transport Directorate (MTTD).
The group made this commendation in a statement signed by Yakubu Ibrahim on behalf of the group.
His contributions to law enforcement have earned him numerous accolades, including the Grand Medal for his meritorious service in combating armed robbery and other criminal activities.
The youth group highlighted that the extension underscores the IGP’s unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order in the country.
They noted that his leadership continues to have a significant impact on the Ghana Police Service and expressed confidence that his continued tenure will further strengthen the force.
On behalf of the Ga-Adangme people and Ghanaians, the Concerned Krobo Youth Group congratulated IGP Yohuno on the well-deserved extension of his service.
