Deputy Defence Minister engages 11 regional Ministers on security collaboration
The Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, on Wednesday welcomed eleven Regional Ministers to the Square for discussions focused on strengthening security coordination across the country.
The meeting centred on the critical role of the Ministry of Defence in safeguarding peace and stability within the various regions.
The discussions explored ways to deepen collaboration between the Ministry and Regional Coordinating Councils to enhance rapid response, intelligence sharing and community-level security engagement.
Mr. Brogya Genfi expressed appreciation to the Regional Ministers for their commitment and willingness to work closely with the Defence Ministry in advancing national security objectives.
He emphasised that sustained cooperation between central government institutions and regional authorities remains essential to maintaining law and order and addressing emerging security challenges nationwide.
