Deputy Presidential Spokesperson assures Ghanaians of good governance, accountability

The Deputy Presidential Spokesperson, Shamima Muslim, has urged Ghanaians to have faith in the President Mahama administration, citing its commitment to good governance, probity, and accountability.
In a CTV interview, Shamima revealed the government had established a monitoring and evaluation team to oversee the performance of all government appointees.
The team's primary objective, according to Shamima, was to ensure appointees carried out their duties efficiently and effectively.
She said President Mahama had tasked all appointees to seal all loopholes that led to resource waste, emphasising those who failed to comply with these directives would face consequences, including termination, while those involved in bribery and corruption scandals would be prosecuted.
She indicated this move was part of the administration's efforts to promote transparency and accountability in governance.
Shamima Muslim stressed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government was dedicated to ensuring Ghanaians had confidence in their leaders and institutions.
