E/R: NDC suspends Afram Plains North member Kpeli Worlase for misconduct

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended Kpeli Worlase, a key member of the Afram Plains North Constituency in the Eastern Region.
Mr. Worlase was cited for various acts of misconduct.
The suspension, effective immediately, was announced by the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey.
The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the NDC detailed several allegations against Mr. Worlase, including claims of campaigning against the party’s Parliamentary candidate and engaging in other anti-party activities within the constituency.
“At its meeting on the 23rd of July, 2024, FEC deliberated on the matter and decided to suspend you from the party pursuant to Article 48 of the Party’s constitution,” the statement noted.
Following a thorough review of the accusations, the party has referred the case to the National Disciplinary Committee for further investigation and adjudication.
“The Disciplinary Committee will invite you for a hearing, and it will be in your best interest to avail yourself for adjudication to enable the Committee to submit a report with recommendations to FEC for further action,” the statement added.
