Ghana-Vietnam deepen relations

The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Nguyen Minh Hang is on a three-day Official Visit to Ghana from Monday 15th April, 2024 to Wednesday, 17th April, 2024, as part of efforts to bolster bilateral relations, with Ghana.

As part of activities for the visit, Nguyen Minh Hang held bilateral discussions with her counterpart, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong (MP), on Tuesday 16th April, 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

During the discussions, Mr Ampratwum-Sarpong affirmed that the visit was a testament to the existing strong bond of friendship between the two countries.

He further expressed the hope that the visit would lead to enhanced bilateral engagements between Ghana and Vietnam.

He called for collaboration in areas such as education, agriculture and the exchange of technical expertise towards capacity building in the two countries.

For her part, Nguyen Minh Hang, recalled and acknowledged the fruitful relations Vietnam has enjoyed with Ghana.

She indicated that next year marks 60 years of fruitful diplomatic relations with Ghana.

She further applauded Ghana for its pivotal role at the United Nations Security Council during its tenure and expressed Vietnam’s willingness to further deepen relations through the creation of a framework for cooperation in areas of mutual interest for the benefit of the two countries.
