Ghana's Ambassador to Togo, Captain George Nfodjoh, has emphasised the importance of training in the hospitality industry, stating that it's the key to Ghana's success in the sector.

He made this remark while speaking at Hospitality Awards Africa 2025, highlighting that Ghana has been leading in the industry for six years, and it's now time for other countries to follow.

Captain Nfodjoh, who presented his credentials to Togo's President in November 2025, expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between Ghana and Togo.

He noted that the two countries share historic bonds and have a strong foundation for cooperation, particularly in the areas of security, trade, and economic development.

The Ambassador praised Togo's sanitation efforts, noting that the streets are clean, and people are adhering to traffic rules, such as wearing helmets.

He emphasised that the importance of Ghana and Togo working together to improve their relations and promote economic growth is paramount.

Captain Nfodjoh was appointed by Ghana's President in June 2025 and succeeded Kofi Mensah Demitia, who served as Ambassador to Togo for over five years.

His mission is to consolidate cooperation between Ghana and Togo, focusing on areas such as trade, security, and regional integration.
