Kofi Adams: We are committed to upgrading Ghana’s sports infrastructure
Kofi Adams, Ghana’s Minister-designate for Sports and Recreation, has expressed a strong commitment to revitalizing the country’s sports infrastructure by fostering a robust maintenance culture and investing in new facilities.
Speaking during his vetting, Adams acknowledged the persistent issue of neglect that has led to the deterioration of major sporting venues such as the Accra Sports Stadium, Baba Yara Sports Stadium and Cape Coast Stadium.
He highlighted the detrimental effects of poor facility management on athlete performance and Ghana’s ability to host international tournaments.
“We are going to improve upon our maintenance culture.
We are not going to let the facilities rot. We will ensure that our limited resources are used to maintain the various facilities and build new ones too,” Adams assured.
