Kwadaso: NDC claims it’s found 500,000 fake ballot papers thumb-printed for Bawumia
The main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has alleged that it has discovered some half a million fake ballot papers in Kwadaso, Ashanti Region.
The region is the biggest support base for the New Patriotic Party.
According to the NDC’s National Communication Officer, Mr Sammy Gyamfi, the fake ballot papers discovered in a car, were all thumb-printed for New Patriotic Party flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
Meanwhile, the National Organiser of the NDC, Mr Joseph Yamin, also alleged that a separate set of fake ballot papers estimated to be about 10,000 had been discovered at a guest house in the same Kwadaso constituency.
The 10,000 ballot papers, according to Mr Yamin, however, were not thumb-printed although he admitted in an interview with Accra-based TV3 that he was not sure if indeed all the ballot papers had not been thumb-printed.
