Mahama not fit to lead Ghana again, reject him – Akufo-Addo tells Ghanaians

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to reject former President John Dramani Mahama’s bid for the presidency.
According to President Akufo-Addo, Mr. Mahama’s leadership would be a setback for the country.
Speaking on Wednesday, 6 November 2024, during his tour of the Central Region, President Akufo-Addo emphasised the importance of selecting a leader who can advance Ghana’s development, asserting that Mr. Mahama is ill-suited for this task.
President Akufo-Addo noted Mr. Mahama embodies the past and lacks the innovative vision needed to propel Ghana forward.
"Mr. Mahama is not fit to lead this nation again.
“Returning him to power would reverse the progress we have worked hard to achieve.,” President Akufo-Addo stated.
In contrast, the President championed the candidacy of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the current vice president and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer.
He commended Dr. Bawumia’s economic expertise and dedication to Ghana’s transformation, positioning him as the leader who can sustain and build on the accomplishments of the current administration.
"Dr. Bawumia has the economic insights and the commitment to lead Ghana into a brighter future," President Akufo-Addo added.
