The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Wing organized a highly successful Green Wave Campaign in the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

The event, held at Kawukudi, drew an impressive turnout of party faithful from all constituencies in the region.

The campaign was graced by several key NDC officials, including National Chairman Asiedu Nketia, National Youth Organizer George Opare Addo, Deputy National Youth Organizer Ruth Sedoh, and Okai Mintah, Chairman of the Working Committee of the NDC Youth Wing.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman Asiedu Nketia praised the youth for their preparedness and enthusiasm, likening them to an army ready for battle.

"I came here to assess the readiness of the army for battle.

Today, I am convinced beyond doubt that we are ready for the task ahead.

The Green Army, led by Pablo, is poised to secure victory come December 7," he declared.

Chairman Nketia emphasized the critical importance of the upcoming election, urging the youth to take an active role in shaping their future.

"This election is about the youth, not the old men.

It’s about your future, your life. Take charge of the election and ensure it delivers the results that will bring this nation back into the hands of the NDC.

On December 7, vote for John Mahama and NDC Parliamentary Candidates," he appealed.

National Youth Organizer George Opare Addo also addressed the crowd, contrasting Ghana’s economic conditions in 2016 with the hardships of 2024.

"If life was better for you in 2016 but has worsened in 2024, then do what is noble, do what is right—vote for John Mahama as the next president of Ghana," he urged passionately.

The Green Wave Campaign marked the culmination of the NDC Youth Wing’s efforts to rally support ahead of the December 7 general elections.

Earlier activities included a 24-hour Economy Park event, which offered participants insights into the NDC’s policies and vision for Ghana’s future.
