NDC outlines guidelines for Akwatia constituency parliamentary primaries

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released a set of guidelines for the conduct of its upcoming parliamentary primaries in the Akwatia Constituency of the Eastern Region, urging aspirants to adhere to party rules and maintain a spirit of unity and fairness.
In an official notice issued by the General Secretary, Mr. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the Party outlined the processes and procedures to guide prospective aspirants and delegates ahead of the crucial internal election.
According to the statement, nomination forms are to be picked up from the NDC’s Eastern Regional Office, where completed forms must also be submitted.
The party emphasised that access to the delegates' list will only be granted after confirmation that aspirants have paid the approved filing fee into the official party account.
The NDC also announced a 50% concession on filing fees for female aspirants and persons living with disabilities, as part of efforts to promote inclusion and gender equality.
The party stressed that only direct deposits into the designated account will be accepted — cheques and bankers’ drafts are strictly prohibited.
Payments must be made to the following account:
Bank: UMB
Account Number: 0101328345014
Account Name: National Democratic Congress
Branch: Adabraka
The party further indicated that a detailed timetable for the primaries has been attached to the notice and urged all aspirants to strictly observe the schedule provided.
Mr. Kwetey called on all stakeholders to uphold decorum and decency throughout the process, reminding party members that the primaries must be conducted in a manner that preserves party unity and fairness.
