NPP 2026 Primaries: Kwabena Agyei Agyepong remains a qualified aspirant, campaign teams clarifies

The Kwabena Agyei Agyepong (KAA) 2028 Campaign Team has debunked "certain misleading publications and social media rumours suggesting that Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has been disqualified from the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Primaries".
The campaign team said this in an October 8, 2025, statement, signed by Nana Ama Asantewaa Kwarko, Spokesperson, KAA 2028 Campaign.
"The campaign team wishes to categorically state that these reports are entirely false, unfounded, and should be disregarded by the general public and party faithfuls," the KAA campaign emphasised.
The KAA campaign noted Ing Agyepong had "successfully" gone through the presidential elections committee’s vetting process, "as confirmed by the official invitation from the NPP Headquarters to participate in the balloting scheduled for Friday, October 10, 2025, at the party headquarters, Asylum Down".
The team assured all supporters, well wishers, and the general public that Ing Agyepong "remains a qualified, dedicated, and loyal aspirant, committed to upholding the democratic principles of the New Patriotic Party and contributing to Ghana’s continued progress".
They urged the public to "disregard such false claims, which are clear attempts to mislead and divert attention from the unity, vision, and focus of our campaign".
"The KAA 2028 Team remains steadfast in its vision of promoting integrity, service, and renewal within the NPP and the nation at large," the statement ended.
