NPP communicator questions credibility of emerging political movements

Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Greater Accra Regional Communications team, Stephen Boateng Osei-Bonsu (popularly known as Bono), has questioned the credibility of emerging political groups whose actions he believes contradict the very ideals they claim to stand for.
According to him, it is contradictory for any group seeking national leadership to profess unity yet actively engage in rhetoric or conduct that fosters division among citizens.
“If a group claims to be forming a political party yet its actions seek to create division among Ghanaians, then we must ask where the unity is,” he stated.
Bono criticised such groups for what he described as an attempt to exploit public discontent for political gain, rather than focusing on genuine nation-building.
He argued that any party positioning itself as an alternative force must demonstrate cohesion, responsibility, and a clear commitment to national stability.
He further maintained that unity must reflect not only in a party’s slogans or public declarations but also in its internal culture, leadership approach, and engagement with the Ghanaian populace.
Speaking on the Citizen Show with Dr. Desmond Enock Kofi Annan, on Saturday, 18th October 2025, the NPP communicator reiterated the party’s view that political leadership should be anchored on policies that strengthen the social fabric and promote inclusiveness, instead of polarising society for electoral advantage.
