NPP postpones date for primaries to Feb 2

The Steering Committee, the National Executives Committee and the National Council of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) have postponed the date for the announcement of the date for the organisation of the party’s primary for the election of members of parliament (MP) and presidential candidates for the 2024 general elections.
According to the party, the meeting which was scheduled for Tuesday, January 31, 2023, has been postponed to Thursday, February 2, 2023.
The party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, in a statement dated January 28, 2023, said this development has been necessitated by the urgent need to further broaden stakeholder consultations and engagement on matters that would be discussed at the said meetings.
