The Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, today launched a community-led tree-planting exercise along the Ahwerase–Darmang stretch as part of the “Help Green Nsawam-Adoagyiri” campaign.

Joined by traditional leaders, party officials, and local volunteers, the initiative aims to promote environmental sustainability and restore green cover within the constituency.

The exercise marks a practical step in the MP’s ongoing advocacy for climate action and ecological protection.

In his remarks, Annoh-Dompreh emphasised the dual purpose of the campaign: to rehabilitate the local environment and to foster community awareness and ownership in the fight against climate change.

“This is not a one-off event, but a sustained effort to reclaim our environment through collective action,” the MP stated. “Tree planting is a simple but powerful act—each seedling represents our commitment to a greener, healthier future for Nsawam-Adoagyiri and for Ghana.”

The “Help Green Nsawam-Adoagyiri” campaign reflects Annoh-Dompreh’s long-standing focus on environmental issues and aligns with broader national and global calls for grassroots climate action.

The MP indicated that the effort will continue with further planting activities and community engagement programmes throughout the year.
