Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has challenged Dr Calistus Mahama and others at the Presidency to petition the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) to investigate alleged sales of government slots by other individuals.

Dr Calistus Mahama, who serves as Executive Secretary to President John Dramani Mahama, previously petitioned the NIB to probe Mr Ofosu Nkansah’s earlier allegations regarding alleged irregularities in the award of government-funded scholarships — a move that led to his arrest and subsequent bail.

In a Facebook post made shortly after the latest developments in his case, Mr Ofosu Nkansah wrote: “Dear Callistus Mahama, Beatrice Annan and all others in that secretariat, we will be waiting for you to write to NIB to investigate these sales of Government slots posted by Jay Kwashie and the earlier ones from Osagyefo Oliver Barker-Vormawor, Kojo Adu Asare and Hon. Joseph Azumah.”

He accused members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of double standards in their response to allegations, arguing that similar claims made by others have not attracted the same level of scrutiny.

“NDC folks are spewing 'nonfa' on my posts as if they haven’t seen others make similar allegations,” he stated.

Mr Ofosu Nkansah was recently arrested and granted bail of GHS500,000 over allegations of publishing false news, following comments he made on the radio concerning purported irregularities in the scholarship scheme.

He has since been formally charged by the National Intelligence Bureau, which continues its investigations into the matter.
