V/R: President John Dramani Mahama nominates James Gunu as regional minister-designate
James Gunu, the Volta Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Akatsi North, has been nominated by President John Mahama as the Volta Regional Minister.
Mr Gunu is a trained journalist and local government expert.
He is one of the first 10 regional minister nominees submitted to Parliament by President Mahama on Tuesday, 14 January 2025.
His nomination comes as a welcome surprise which has been received with joy by many residents who know him, are confident about his capabilities and his passion to advance the development of the region.
James Gunu is also beloved for his ability to mobilise and unite diverse peoplefor a common goal.
