Ghana’s Vice President-elect, Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has reaffirmed her dedication to inclusivity and empowerment in her groundbreaking role as the country’s first female Vice President.

Speaking after the declaration of John Dramani Mahama as the winner of the 2024 Presidential Election, Opoku-Agyemang emphasized her commitment to paving the way for others to succeed.

“This historic election is not about personal glory,” she stated.

“It is about creating opportunities for all and demonstrating what is possible when barriers are broken.”

She highlighted the inclusive principles of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), noting, “NDC is an inclusive party, and we are demonstrating that in many ways.

This is a collective responsibility, and I do not intend to travel this journey alone.

You are all part of it.”
