We’re winning – NPP says; urges last-minute voters to vote
The incumbent New Patriotic Party has said it is confident of victory in Saturday’s general elections.
“The NPP is winning this election,” General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong told journalists on voting day, adding: “What is left is for our agents to be vigilant at this closing stage.”
“I want to use this opportunity to [urge] anyone who is yet to cast his or her vote that it is important, as part of our democratic dispensation, to exercise your franchise and it is not late; so far as you are in the queue even if it’s 5 pm, you still have the right to vote,” he noted.
“What I want to send out, particularly to our vigilant agents in the Volta Region is that I commend you for the vigilant and the hard work that you have done in policing our polling stations to make sure that we are not cheated,” he noted.
