We were hired to cheer Kennedy Agyapong at NPP Thank You Tour – KNUST Jama Group

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST) Jama Group has confirmed that they were officially contracted to provide musical and crowd support for Kennedy Agyapong during the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Thank You Tour held at Bantama, in the Ashanti Region yesterday.
The group is known for energising political and social events with rhythmic chants and drumming.
“We were hired by Mr. Maxi, aide to Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, to cheer him and create a lively atmosphere,” the group’s spokesperson disclosed.
This revelation comes in the wake of a disturbing incident that marred the event—a student was reportedly stabbed during a clash that erupted amid the tour’s proceedings.
Eyewitnesses say tensions flared over some money given to them by Maxi to share, leading to chaos and the eventual assault.
The injured student is currently receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Following this incident, several people have been asking questions as to why someone would go and hire a student Jama group to cheer them up at an internal party Thanksgiving Tour, knowing very well that these students are not part of the meeting.
To torment, trouble and cause chaos?
