2022 Commonwealth games: Ghana’s 4×100 metres relay team disqualified from finals
Ghana’s 4×100 Metres Relay team will not be taking part in the finals of the 2022 Commonwealth games tomorrow, Sunday, 7 August 2022.
The team has been disqualified from competing in the finals in Birmingham, UK, after officials failed to prompt the organisers of the change in the team’s running order.
According to the rule governing the games, the team must notify officials at least 1 hour before the race.
However, officials of the Ghanaian team failed to do so, leading to their disqualification from the finals of the ongoing games.
