AFCON 2025 qualifiers: Black Stars face must-win clash against Sudan today
The Black Stars of Ghana are set to clash with Sudan today, Tuesday, 15 October 2024, in a crucial return leg match of the ongoing qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The match is scheduled to take place at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya.
After a disappointing goalless draw in Accra last Thursday, Ghana's qualification hopes are hanging by a thread.
A victory today is essential to revive their chances of securing a place in next year's tournament in Morocco.
Currently sitting third in Group F, the Black Stars trail Angola and Sudan, having gone three consecutive matches without a win.
Coach Otto Addo and his team face a daunting task to deliver a match-winning performance in this pivotal encounter.
Failure to secure all three points would severely jeopardise their qualification prospects and further challenge the faith of their passionate supporters.
The stakes are high as the Black Stars aim to bounce back and keep their AFCON dreams alive.
