Accra Great Olympics faces leadership crisis amid struggles as CEO, GM resign
Accra Great Olympics is dealing with a leadership crisis following the resignations of CEO Cudjoe Fianoo and General Manager Eric Alagidede on February 9, 2026, both citing personal reasons.
Fianoo, a former AshantiGold boss and two-time GHALCA chairman, and Alagidede, who had joined the club in July 2025 to oversee its rebuild after relegation, leave a significant administrative vacuum.
The club, historically successful and a two-time Ghana Premier League champion, has struggled since its relegation two seasons ago.
Currently in Division One League Zone Three, Great Olympics is close to the relegation zone, intensifying internal turmoil.
The simultaneous departures of the CEO and GM come at a critical stage, raising concerns among fans and stakeholders about the club’s ability to stabilize operations and mount a competitive campaign.
