Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club secured a thrilling 1-0 victory over their fierce rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak, in a dramatic Ghana Premier League encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The much-anticipated clash lived up to its billing, delivering intense drama and a nail-biting finish as the Porcupine Warriors struck deep into stoppage time to claim the decisive goal.

In-form forward Albert Amoah emerged as the hero for Kotoko, capitalizing on a defensive mix-up between Hearts goalkeeper Benjamin Asare and defender Kelvin Osei Asibey.

Amoah pounced on the loose ball and calmly slotted it into the net in the 95th minute, sending the home crowd into rapturous celebrations.

Kotoko’s head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, was seen jubilantly joining his players and fans in celebrating the crucial late goal that secured the bragging rights in this fiercely contested rivalry.
